Terms and Conditions
1. Business details
These terms apply to services supplied by Matt’s Mobile Detail and Pressure Cleaning Services, operated by Matthew Rotherham as the sole trader entity ROTHERHAM, MATTHEW, ABN 39 981 691 073. Business contact: 0457 419 039 or the quote form on this website.
Dependencies: confirm final contact email, registered/business address or service-area disclosure, and legal-review position before publication.
2. What these terms cover
They apply to enquiries, quotes and accepted work for mobile vehicle detailing, marine detailing and pressure cleaning. The exact service, site, asset, scope, price, timing and limitations are agreed for each job.
3. Enquiries and quotes
Customers should provide accurate details, photographs where useful, the location, access information, surface or asset condition and preferred timing. A quote may be indicative where it is based on photographs or incomplete information. Matt may require an inspection before confirming the price or accepting the job.
A quote should state the included work, exclusions, assumptions, travel treatment and validity period. [TBC: quote validity period and travel wording.] No public price list or guaranteed result is currently approved.
4. Acceptance and changes
A job is accepted when the customer and Matt agree the scope, price and timing in writing or by another recorded confirmation. Changes, additional work or materially different conditions may require a revised quote and customer approval.
5. Customer responsibilities
The customer must provide safe and lawful access, disclose relevant hazards and identify fragile surfaces, prior treatments, damage, leaks, electrical risks, restricted areas, animals and site rules. The customer must obtain permissions from an owner, property manager or site operator where required.
Water, electricity, drainage, runoff controls, shelter and access may affect whether work is possible. Exact requirements vary by job and are [TBC] for public statement.
6. Work conditions and limitations
Cleaning results depend on material, age, condition, staining, corrosion, paint, previous coatings, access, weather, equipment and the process that is appropriate. Matt does not promise complete stain removal, restoration, a like-new result or damage-free results in every condition.
Matt may decline or stop work where conditions are unsafe, unsuitable, outside equipment capability, require an unconfirmed licence/permit/site approval, or create unacceptable risk to people, property, vehicles, boats, surfaces or the environment.
Dependencies: confirm operational safety, chemical, runoff, weather, cancellation and site-specific rules before publication.
7. Timing and access
Any response or attendance estimate is an intention, not a guarantee, unless the accepted quote says otherwise. Current public hours, response target, attendance target and emergency treatment are [TBC]. Customers should notify Matt promptly if access or timing changes.
8. Price and payment
The agreed quote controls the price. Payment methods currently recorded are cash, PayID and bank transfer. Pressure-cleaning commercial invoicing was described as seven-day terms; whether this applies to all commercial work and the consequences of late payment are [TBC].
Dependencies: confirm deposits, payment timing, GST wording, invoice terms, late-payment treatment, travel charges, minimum charges and cancellation fees.
9. Cancellation and rescheduling
[TBC — no cancellation, rescheduling, weather, no-access or call-out policy has been approved.] Do not publish this section until the policy is confirmed and checked for compliance with Australian Consumer Law.
10. Customer property and risk
The parties should document pre-existing damage or condition where relevant. Matt will take reasonable care appropriate to the agreed work, but the treatment of loss, damage, limitations and customer remedies must be confirmed for the business and service type.
[TBC — obtain legal review of liability, exclusions, limitation wording and consumer guarantees. Do not attempt to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.]
11. Consumer guarantees and complaints
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict rights that apply under the Australian Consumer Law. Customers should contact Matt promptly about a concern so the issue and agreed scope can be reviewed.
Dependencies: confirm complaints contact/process, remedy process and business response timeframe.
12. Photos and marketing permission
Matt may request permission to take or use before-and-after or working photographs. No identifiable customer, vehicle, boat, property or registration detail should be used publicly without appropriate permission. Marketing permission is separate from permission to use photos to assess the job.
13. Privacy
Personal information supplied through enquiries is handled under the Privacy Policy. Customers should not upload sensitive information that is not needed to assess the job.
14. Subcontractors and third parties
[TBC — confirm whether subcontractors, suppliers or third-party booking/payment providers may be used.] No such arrangement should be represented until confirmed.
15. Governing law
[TBC — confirm the appropriate South Australian governing-law and jurisdiction wording.]
